So teach us to number our days
that we may get a heart of wisdom.
I think about intergenerational relationships a lot and believe they are vital in the church. We are like magnets with people our own age because they make us comfortable. Today is my birthday so age has been the topic of conversation most of the day, and wouldn’t you know it, I found a great article written by a nineteen-year-old girl who exhibits the wisdom of a much more “seasoned” Christian on the subject of age and friendships. Thank God for a new generation of young people who love Jesus.
Jaquelle Crowe shares how God has used friends of all ages in her life to help her grow spiritually. She writes, “They bring unique ideas, solutions, and attitudes to our relationship, pushing the boundaries of my mental framework and making me more empathetic and generous.” You can read her article here.
Brian and I visited the Billy Graham Library today because it’s such a peaceful place to spend an afternoon. I’m sharing my birthday in pictures.
