Dipping into the Community Pool: February 5

Not too long ago we posted information about the new Voice of the Martyrs’ movie, Tortured for Christ. This story is as important now as it was when Pastor Wurmbrand spent 14 years in Communist prisons. Take this great opportunity to share the message of today’s persecuted church with your family and church.

You can purchase your tickets now for The Voice of the Martyrs’ new Tortured for Christ movie. This is a limited theatrical event, and each theater will agree to air the movie only if enough tickets are pre-purchased.  Movie theatre information (USA) can be found here.

David Brainerd 1718 – 1747

“His ‘extremism’ does remind me of Paul, who was both brave and bold in his ministry. He too experienced ‘perils’ (2 Corinthians 11), but he could say with authority: ‘Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ’ (1 Corinthians 11:1). May we, like Paul and Brainerd, adopt that extreme motto: ‘for to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain’ (Philippians 1:21).”
